SUPER SMILES

Broken Arrow, OK
SQUARE FOOTAGE: 1,708

YEAR COMPLETED: 2012

PROJECT STATEMENT:
Due to a burgeoning clientele, Super Smiles asked our firm to more than double the size of its existing building. As this client specializes in child dentistry, it mandated that our designs be fun and inviting to children of all ages, all to help alleviate their dental fears. Our design recast the building’s front into one long corridor of kid activities. Older children may choose from rows of flat-screen televisions with different videogame options. Younger children may enjoy a toy room featuring a 14-foot-tall climbing tree with two slides, a mini-rope bridge, and other fun activities. This feature required coordination between the architect, play yard designer, mechanical engineer, and structural engineer to ensure everything would fit under that roof – and it did, by 6 inches! Although unique, this philosophy of wanting kids to come to the dentist will foster better dental practices throughout their lives.
